About Rachel

rachel_profile_imageI am a qualified Medical Herbalist with 12 years experience practising in Salisbury and Ringwood.

My passion for nature, plants and natural health started at a very young age. I have a clear memory of going with my Mother to visit a Herbalist and thinking how amazing it was that plants had specific healing properties. This spark of interest continued to grow and years later I studied for my degree in Herbal Medicine (Phytotherapy) at The College of Phytotherapy in Sussex. The four year full-time course included both medical sciences, plant sciences and a minimum of 500 hours clinical training in Sussexand London. I qualified with BSc (Hons) Phytotherapy in 2001.

I currently spend most of my time seeing patients on a one to one basis and dispensing medicines. As well as private practice I have also spent time teaching Herbal Medicine throughout the Southwest as a consultant for Bio-Health Ltd, worked as Manager for Neal’s Yard Remedies in Salisbury, written health articles for a variety of magazines and taught variety of herbal workshops.

If you would like me to run a workshop, herb walk or write an article for you please get in touch. I am always keen to share my passion about Herbal Medicine with more people.
