Saturday 15th March 2014 – Ringwood Health Clinic

A workshop with Medical Herbalist Rachel Heathcote. The plants which grow around us provide a wonderful medicine chest. This hands on talk and demonstration will teach you about essential herbs to keep at home for treating common ailments. We will look at making simple preperations such as elderberry and elderflower cordial, lemon balm tincture, marigold macerated oil and herbal baths.

Saturday 10th May 2014 – Moors Valley Country Park and Forest

Join Medical Herbalist Rachel Heathcote (BSc Phytotherapy) on this plant walk and workshop.

The plants which grow around us provide a wonderful medicine chest. This workshop will teach you about the essential herbs you can keep at home for treating common ailments.

The morning will start with a gentle herb walk at Moors Valley to identify the medicinal plants beneath our feet. We will then head indoors for a hands-on talk and demonstration where you will learn how to prepare simple remedies including elderberry cordial, calendula macerated oil, lemon balm tincture and herbal baths.

You will be able to take away the elderberry cordial and some herb tea samples on the day. The tincture and oil will be posted out to participants once ready.
